T-shirt re-purpose

Here is the star of our show, $3 Minnie Mouse tee from Dollar General :)

Cut the shirt as seen below. 

I used a jersey knit for the braided straps. 

Cut three long strips.

Knot one end. Then tape it down on the table or counter.  Then tightly braid. Finish with another knot.

I sewed the braid on the front of the shirt like so:

Next I sewed the braid crisscrossed on the back so it looked like this:

I had to make some adjustments to the back seam, so it was tight enough for her. 

Since I didn't do a good job of taking pics for this one....please feel free to ask what I did!! :)
